At Hostetler & Ludwig, we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern CNC manufacturing to produce thoughtful, well-made work from our shop in Athens, Ohio.

We work with artists, designers, instrument builders, retailers, and manufacturers on projects ranging from one-off prototypes to ongoing production.

Some projects arrive as finished CAD files. Others begin with a sketch, a sample part, or an idea that still needs some figuring out. We’re comfortable at either end of that process.

What We Do

CNC routing and milling, woodworking and joinery, material sourcing, prototype development, custom components, and repeat production.

We’re equally comfortable making one piece or thousands. The scale changes; our approach doesn’t.

We understand the material, we understand the machines, and we know how to solve problems when the straightforward answer isn’t the right one.
